I have spent over 18 years in the media with a brief stint in the audio-visual media as well. My chosen area was finance and business. During my days in journalism I worked on the copy desk which included producing and designing news pages. Besides, I have done extensive reporting on corporates, stock markets and industry- cement, sugar, jute, banking among others.

After journalism, my next stop was public relations. I worked for Sobhagya, Sampark and Adfactors PR in that order for a little over six years. Last job being as branch head, Kolkata. During this period, I had the opportunity to work for leading corporates like ITC, Bharti, Lafarge, Eastern Silk and a host of other big and medium-sized corporates.

Now, I am into serious writing including poetry. I intend writing a book on my experiences in the communications business in the near future.
